Dawnkin is one system that's actually end to end, no integration needed. The product manufacturing creates from raw material is selected on the quote your sales team creates, which becomes an order then an invoice, which feeds the ledger your accountant reviews — entered once, flowing all the way through, and that's just a snippet.

Most small businesses run a CRM, an accounting package, and a spreadsheet for stock — stitched together with exports, overnight syncs, and a fair bit of luck. Dawnkin isn't stitched together. It's one system, so a record entered at one end flows all the way to the other. No integration needed.
The product your shop builds from raw material is the same product your sales team drops onto a quote. That quote becomes an order, the order becomes an invoice, and the invoice feeds the ledger your accountant reviews. Entered once — flowing all the way through. And that's just one thread.

Every province's GST, HST, PST, and QST is seeded at onboarding — ready for your province from the moment you start. Multi-tax per line. Exemption categories. Canadian tax handled at the level a small business actually needs it.
Coming at launch: sell to US customers and buy from US suppliers in their currency. Dawnkin books the exchange gain or loss at the rate your bank actually used, and your GST34 worksheet converts it back to Canadian dollars.
French is on the roadmap. Today the Terms of Service, Privacy Policy and sub-processor list are published in both English and French, and the interface is in English.

Double-entry ledger
Your books always balance — the system makes sure of it.
Every financial entry is double-entry and database-enforced. The ledger always balances, because the system requires every entry to balance before it's saved.
Exact decimal math
Money stored as exact decimals — accurate to the penny.
$0.01 is exactly $0.01. Dawnkin stores money as exact decimals, so every total adds up to the penny — every time.
Immutable journal entries
Once posted, a journal entry stays put — corrections post as a clean reversal.
Journal entries are immutable — the audit trail always tells the true story. This is the kind of financial architecture you'd expect from an enterprise system.
Tenant data is isolated at the database level — row-level security enforced by the database engine itself, so each tenant's data stays fully separated.

Consulting, IT services, agencies, professional practices
Set cost and billing rates by person, role or job. Your team logs hours on a weekly timesheet, a second person approves them, and approved hours become a time-and-materials invoice. Or bill by deposit or milestone. Every engagement shows what's quoted, delivered and billed. Coming at launch: recharge materials and expenses on milestone, retainer and flat-rate jobs.
Contractors and project firms
Specialty trades, contractors, project-based businesses
Bill by percentage complete against a schedule of values, with each claim building on the last. Hold back a percentage on every progress invoice, see holdback in its own column on your receivables aging, and release it when the job is signed off.
Manufacturers and makers
Small-batch manufacturers, product businesses, specialty makers
Buy materials, turn them into products, and sell them. Bills of materials, production orders and pick lists, and weighted-average or FIFO costing. Coming at launch: landed cost, so freight, brokerage and duty land in what your stock really cost, and count sheets that keep the shelf and the books in step.
Wholesale and distribution
Distributors, wholesalers, importers
Stock by warehouse and bin, in cases or eaches, with goods received but not yet billed carried on the books. One system from the purchase order to the customer's invoice. Coming at launch: barcode scanning at receiving and picking with a USB or Bluetooth scanner, supplier bills in US dollars, and landed cost for freight and duty.

- Recoverable GST/HST booked as an input tax credit.

- Card details never pass through Dawnkin's servers.
- An activity bell, and a Monitor view of 7, 30 or 90 days for admins.

- A permissions screen that shows exactly what each role is allowed.
